Responsibilities

  • Execute the strategic intent in the region by scaling the portfolio through a unique understanding of go-to-market strategies, category and consumer insights and a demonstrated ability to execute and deliver in the highly competitive regional FMCG sector.
  • Responsible for planning, implementing, and managing the growth of market channels, partnering with operations and marketing to achieve sales objectives within company guidelines and directives. Effectively leads trade execution through the management of field personnel within the sales channel
  • Develop relationships with key customers (new and existing), and regular follow-ups to build and maintain active relationships across all applicable channels
  • Ensure alignment of pricing and promotional initiatives
  • Manage and report on portfolio performance in terms of full P&L delivery
  • Ensuring compliance with all external/internal regulations and legislative requirements and instituting sound corporate governance
  • Competitor analysis

Requirements

  • Minimum of B. Com degree in marketing or a related field or an IMM Diploma
  • 10 + years relevant experience in an FMCG environment with at least 5 years of general management experience
  • Deep networks and relationships in the Zambian FMCG market
  • Proven ability to develop Go-To-Market strategies and scale brands in the region
  • Must be willing to travel locally and internationally and have a valid passport with no travel restrictions
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
