Corvallis, Oregon, Internal Job Number: P07694UF Description: The College of Engineering is seeking a Digital Marketing Manager. This is a full-time (1.00 FTE ), 12-month, professional faculty position. The Digital Marketing Manager ( DMM ) reports to the Assistant Director of Marketing and is a member of the College of Engineering’s External Relations group, which is responsible for the college’s marketing, communications, and engagement activities.

This position is part of a fast-paced, hands-on team that produces compelling and creative content to help move the college’s many stakeholders — alumni, donors, industry partners, state and federal government entities, prospective students, and other engineering schools — toward stronger relationships (i.e., opinion, perception, and affinity) with the college and thereby increasing brand visibility, reputation, and loyalty. The DMM utilizes specialized technical expertise in user experience, social media, content management systems, marketing automation platforms, information management systems, and customer relationship management systems to plan, create, and distribute high-quality content to advance the college’s priorities in recruitment, academic influence, and alumni/donor engagement. Digital channels include but are not limited to electronic newsletters, emails, digital publications, social media, and digital advertising.

The DMM may own their work products or contribute to other team members’ projects. The DMM also assists in producing social media and web content as assigned. The DMM manages distribution lists, gathers analytics to report on effectiveness of campaigns, and produces templates for digital communications.

Minimum Qualifications (Staff) / Guidelines (Faculty): Typically requires Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related field. 3 years’ experience related to the discipline of the college, unit or department. Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in digital or new media communications, marketing, or related field. Three years of experience in producing and distributing digital content and measuring and evaluating the effectiveness of that content, or a combination of experience and advanced education that demonstrates comparable background.

Excellent writing skills with experience in drafting copy for emails, social media, web and other marketing platforms. Knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, their audiences, and how each platform can be utilized effectively. Experience with CRM -based digital marketing platforms.

Demonstrated organizational, project management, and analytical skills. Experience working within brand guidelines. Evidence of successful collaboration with internal team members and external stakeholders.

A record of learning about diverse constituents of an organization and its external audiences that demonstrated the ability to translate intelligence into inclusive digital communications that reflect the realities and identities of the constituents/audience. A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity Type: The majority of this work will take place in a typical office environment, with the occasional need to attend university events on- and off-campus as needs arise for planning and/or content development purposes. Most work can be completed during standard working hours of 8 a.m. -5 p.m., however on-call support may be required at times for issues management and support at evening/weekend events and conferences.

A hybrid or remote work agreement may be considered, with the understanding that there will be requirements to be on-site at the Corvallis campus on a regular basis. Additional Salary Information: $65,000-$83,000
