About Goldman Sachs Marketing Led by the firm’s first Chief Marketing Officer, the marketing function at Goldman Sachs is backed by momentum and a broad imperative to unify the discipline, helping to codify a business-critical function seen as core to the firm’s future growth. As such, GS is focused on building out a data-and-technology enabled team of growth marketers, delivering value for the brand and the business. The organization consists of a number of key COE roles in areas such as Brand, Media, and Marketing Strategy, as well as marketing leads for each of our revenue divisions.

Together, this team collaborates to build a unified, scalable, and consistent approach to marketing the brand and its offerings. Within the Global Marketing function sits the Asset Management Marketing team, responsible for end-to-end marketing strategies and programs for the entirety of the division.

Working across our public-side and alternatives investing strategies, the team leads messaging strategy, content creation, digital marketing, and marketing analytics. A new Global Head of Marketing for Asset Management joined in early 2022. Role Summary This Associate will play a key role within the Asset Management (AM) Marketing team, working within Content and Product Marketing to deliver social media content and strategy for Goldman Sachs Asset Management.

The Associate will partner with teams across Asset Management (Marketing, Sales, Investing) and Global Marketing to identify strategic content opportunities, draft excellent copy. work with designers to create engaging visual assets, and manage content production and publication through necessary governance processes. Position Responsibilities Marketing vision and implementation: Plan, develop and implement social media marketing plans to build awareness and affinity for AM’s investment capabilities. Brand narrative and tone of voice: Act as a dedicated steward of AM’s value proposition and tone of voice in production of all social media marketing content.

Launches and campaigns: Develop and implement social media marketing plans around new product/fund launches, major announcements, tentpole events and client conferences. Partner with AM Marketing colleagues to deliver well thought-out, impactful and quantifiable marketing campaigns, leveraging a range of channels and tactics to maximize effectiveness. Social media calendar: Map out a coordinated social media calendar that harmonizes with AM’s wider content calendar and sequences externally published content appropriately and effectively.

Think strategically about which content opportunities are and are not best suited to social media. Collateral: Create and develop social media marketing collateral, acting as primary copywriter and partnering with AM’s design team. Media: Partner with Media Relations on relevant opportunities that showcase Goldman Sachs Asset Management.

Measurement and reporting: End-to-end reporting and measurement of day-to-day and campaign-related marketing impact, delivering clear Marketing Return on Investment (MROI) and taking active steps to adjust marketing approach as necessary to optimize impact. Risk management: Maintaining strict adherence to regulatory and procedural guidelines for all marketing communications including proactive management of operational risk. Team connectivity: Take an active role in the AM Marketing team, adopting a collaborative approach, sharing best practices, being involved in programs outside primary region as relevant, and contributing to the team’s overall success.

Partnership and collaboration: Develop and maintain strong relationships with other AM Marketing colleagues, Global Marketing partners, Corporate Communications, sales and investment heads, and key stakeholders across AM. Qualifications 4+ years in a similar role within a similar leading financial institution with an outstanding track record with measurable impacts and achievements Exceptional copywriting skills, with the ability to create compelling copy for an audience of professional investors Strong knowledge of the asset management industry: clients, products, regulations, competitors Experience of working with marketing performance data to continually identify opportunities for improvement An understanding of all digital marketing mediums Interest in investment views and markets with the ability to synthesize information from multiple sources and develop a clear, compelling story Demonstrable track record of working effectively across matrixed, complex organizations with excellent communication, influencing and presentation skills as well as the ability to engage with partners at all levels Ability to work at varying speeds and under timeframe pressure, while maintaining extremely high standards Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) ABOUT GOLDMAN SACHS At Goldman Sachs, we commit our people, capital and ideas to help our clients, shareholders and the communities we serve to grow.
