CCRM Fertility

The Clinical Nurse Manager serves as the leader of all clinical operations for the practice and reports directly to the Practice Administrator and physicians. This position is responsible for supervision and management of all nursing staff, resolving problems in coordination and collaboration with the medical directors and other department managers. The Clinical Nurse Manager has full accountability for patient care management at CCRM New York.

What You’ll Do Every Day

Manage the clinical care coordinators and surgery staff

Work with the Practice Administrator and the physician group to ensure smooth operational flow of the practice while providing a high standard of care.

Provide feedback to staff, when needed, for improvement of patient care services.

Coordinate daily department operations, including patient care, patient follow up and scheduling of staff.

Achieve high patient clinical satisfaction.

Coordinate flow of pertinent practice and/or protocol changes and any necessary information to all staff.

Manage the interviewing, hiring, disciplinary action and termination processes for clinical staff.

Act as a clinical resource person and role model for all staff.

Assist with quality improvement projects.

Responsible for overall coordination of all department operations. Assures all clinical changes implemented and all members of the team are adequately trained on new protocols.

Assures compliance with all AAASF or AAAHC as well as the State Department of Health standards related to the surgery center and administration of anesthesia in the surgical setting.

Thoroughly knowledgeable on FDA regulations for tissue donation. Assures FDA regulations are being followed by 3rd arty care team and assist with the FDA and other state inspections.

Coordinates the privileging, credentialing and ongoing re-credentialing of all medical staff members, physicians, registered nurses, nurse practitioners and other non-employee patient care providers in the surgery center. Alerts medical director to all situations requiring follow-up of these personnel by the medical director

Alerts medical director to a possible impaired provider immediately upon assessment of an unsafe provider

Coordinates ongoing peer review of medical staff members, physicians, and other non-employee patient care providers in the surgery center. Submits quarterly peer review to regulatory agencies. Serves as the peer review committee chairperson to the governing board.

Assures compliance with the Department of Health’s standards for surgery center licensing.

Coordinates the infection control program for the surgery center setting, and assists the governing board to assure compliance for the center overall infection control. Serves as the infection control nurse for the surgery center.

Reports weekly to the CCRM Management team surgery cases scheduled.

Reports incidents or adverse incidents to practice manager and CCRM corporate VP of clinical services.

Responsible for assuring team has annual OSHA/HIPAA training.

Responsible to report and participate in quality program to practice manager and CCRM management team. Provides quarterly board report to corporate VP of clinical coordination.

Assures contract with anesthesia team is current, credentials new anesthesia team as necessary.

Other duties as assigned.

Maintain confidentiality of all work information.

Education and Experience

Nursing degree required

Minimum of 2 years of previous infertility experience preferred.

Knowledge of AAAASF Regulatory standards preferred

Previous management or supervisory experience preferred.

Supervisory Responsibilities

31 direct reports.

Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains direct reports.

Oversees the daily workflow of the staff and department.

Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.

Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with Company policies.

Working Conditions

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Prolonged period of preparing and analyzing data and figures.

Prolonged periods of standing, bending, sitting, kneeling.

Ability to occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.

Professional office environment with daily use of standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, and scanners.

Medical environment with daily use of medical supplies, instrumentation, equipment and chemicals.

Occasional overnight travel may be required (up to 10%).

Extensive travel will be required, primarily with the local metro area (approximately 90%); a valid driver’s license and proof of liability and property damage insurance is required when using employee’s personal vehicle.

Ability and means to travel between CCRM locations; a valid driver’s license and proof of liability and property damage insurance is required when using employee’s personal vehicle.

FLSA Status

Pay Range [For use ONLY in Colorado or New York at this time.]

$126,880.00 – $145,600 per year, paid bi-weekly plus bonus potential

Actual compensation offered will be determined based on the selected candidate’s skills, education, and experience.
